An idea popped up to do a study of Moodgeist moods. We have a lot of interesting data on Moodgeist about people's "mood histories". According to our privacy policy, we never publish any personalized data, but meta-trends would be an interesting subject matter - like frequency of mood changes, whether profiles have any impact on this.

subject matter
Here is some initial input from the Skype blog chat. Please add here if you have more ideas about what to study.
Jaanus Kase 12:17 "I suspect people don't change their mood very often." damn, I should actually run some stats on that on Moodgeist. I have a bunch of people and their "mood histories" there. we won't publish personalized details, but it would be interesting to do as a study in anonymized format... to see if there are any trends about mood changing... correlate it with time of day/week, profile data (age, male/female) and such Arne 12:18 or events - e.g. soccer games 12:18 formula 1 might be another trigger Jaanus Kase 12:19 Im thinking about how to visualize it? can anyone think of some sites where I could drop the preformatted anonymized data and it would make some fancy Flash graph or something out of it? Veli Hazar 12:20 may be color of mood help us 12:21 can we change background color of mood ? Arne 12:21 I don't think so Phil Wolff | Skype Journal | Oakland, Calif |GMT -8 12:21 i wonder if one person changing a mood drives their friends to change their moods? Arne 12:22 It already did a few times for me Jaanus Kase 12:22 "i wonder if one person changing a mood drives their friends to change their moods?" also an interesting point to try to graph these... Arne 12:22 but to do that you'd have to know which persons know each other 12:23 only then you could try to figure out if there's a correlation Jaanus Kase 12:27 if A has pinged mood to moodgeist for B, it shows that B is in A's contacts, and you could do some graphing around these relations.
kaua moodgeist.com juba elanud on? mingi kuupõhine top 25 keywordi edetabel oleks päris põnev
presentation
Ideally we would present this data in an appealing way, something like Gapminder or Google Trends perhaps. Please add here if you have any ideas about what tools I could use for this.
