Usage/FAQ
What does the "Full ping" button do?
When the Pinger starts, it automatically sends the mood of everyone in your contact list to moodgeist.com. You can do this manually at a later time if you wish — this is what the button is for. Click it and observe as the pings flash through the status bar.
Change log
1.0.5.0 Mar 13, 2007
- updated ping endpoint link - older pingers might no longer work (they apparently send pings but they may not come through), as we removed "www" from all the Moodgeist hostnames.
1.0.4.0 Feb 10, 2007
- older versions reported to have trouble with newer Skype versions. Rebuilt with newer Skype4COM library (v1.0.26 instead of previous 1.0.22), seems to have fixed it. No functional changes.
1.0.3.0 Sept 11, 2006
bugfix: no longer ping the mood of SkypeOut contacts (as they don't have any)
- bugfix: "Run Pinger at Windows startup" option works now
- bugfix: smarter handling of "refused" and startup situations when starting Pinger, Skype and many other things at the same time (translation: it works now)
- change: in addition to periodic "full pings", listening to the "mood changed" event also works. When an incoming mood change event arrives, Pinger pings it instantly, so no moods are lost.
1.0.2.0 July 4, 2006
Initial public release.
